There's something daunting about a first blog post. I've blogged before, under several different pseudonyms, but the first post is always a challenge. Blank text field intimidation, or something like that. As a writer, I want to set the perfect tone, come out the gate at my wittiest or most insightful. Anything less is a personal letdown.
Or maybe that's just me and my neuroses. At any rate, here I am. I'll hit publish and call this done.
After all, the wit and insight can come later. They will have lost the edge and the clarity and the perfection they had in my mind, but by then, it's no longer the first post, so it's OK.
